I've really only been awake for 11 hours.

It's kind of funny really, I didn't mean to wake up at 2pm.


I'm currently working on creating a DVD of the work I've done at Academy of Art this past semester, probably for the whole year if I can get all the work organized from my USB drive. Actually, make that, if I could find my USB drive.

My MacBook is getting seriously hot because I'm using so many programs at once. Safari, iChat, inDesign, iMovie, and iDVD. All of those open in order to make a DVD, well not iChat. I love my MacBook...

...it's so sexy. teehee!

My Lovely Desktop

Today, I pretty much spent an hour reorganizing and making my desktop pretty. AND IT'S SO PRETTY NOW. I changed the icons to the applications I usually use to these cool Pantone color icons. LOVE. Also, I decided to put a Paul Rand poster as my background. I've been doing a lot of reading on Paul Rand lately. I love that guy.

I have a lot of files and folders titled with "Skins" because I have yet to finish burning all of my projects from this past semester onto discs so that I can delete them from here. But don't my application icon's look lovely? I need to download some pretty folder icons for the files on the right.

EDIT: I've changed it up. haha.

I don't think I ever posted about how excited I've been for Camp Rock to come out, but I WAS SO EXCITED. I'm still excited, and it's been a week since I've first seen it. It totally sh*ts on High School Musical.

Short story: I was working a "stage set" at work (basically changing around everything and putting out new products) from 9pm to 6:30am at the Disney Store, and I grew an attachment to all the Camp Rock stuff. But that's what I get for it being the display/wall I was given. I ended up buying the fleece blanket the next day. TEEHEE! It's super soft.

Anyway, I have a new found love for all these super virgin-y Disney kids. LOVE ALL OF THEM. Except for Miley. Forget Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron and all of them (even though I will be purchasing Baby V's album next week). Demi Lovato is my new favorite Disney Kid. As It goes, here is my list of favorite Disney kids in order...

So, I started my online classes this week. They're just book classes, but they suck so bad. I decided to not even log in today. I just did not want to see what's waiting for me. But, I do have to log in tomorrow, because I believe I do have some assignments due tomorrow. No idea what they are though. HAHAHA! I'm the best student ever.


I wish that I took at least one studio class for the summer. I should've taken color and design. UGH. I am not a smart cookie.

Yes, indeed it is. I'm back in class, but online, still the work load is freakin nasty. New Disney Channel movies are out...teehee...I DID LOVE CAMP ROCK. AND....I GOT ME SOME LISA FRANK STUFF JUST A WHILE AGO! woo!

I remember when I started listening to N.E.R.D. freshmen year of high school, and nobody knew who the hell I was talking about. I even had that old school N.E.R.D. trucker hat. WHICH MY BROTHER STOLE, and I haven't actually seen it in a while. They're the shit.

Finals are Finalized.

I'm currently sitting in the Graphic Design/Paul Rand Lounge at school waiting to see one of my instructors so I can give her a disk of my work. I've got about an hour more, unless I see her walk by, then I'll stalk her.


I haven't exactly slept in a few days because of finals. In fact, I even managed to squeeze in going to a Giants game last night. EVERYONE is wondering how I managed that, especially since I still had class this morning. (I actually stayed at the game until the top of the 8th. I HATE THOSE DAMN HOUSTON ASTROS!) But, I managed...somehow.

I was rushing like no other this morning. I had to get my process book binded, get a project printed out since my large format printer broke (I bought a new printer last night just to get by, only a small format regular everyday printer), AND get to class before Mary Scott, the director of undergraduate Graphic Design here at Academy of Art, came to class. I was 20 minutes late. BUT I MADE IT.

So, I'm pretty much terrified of her, but on my grade report sheet, my instructor wrote that she loved my work even though she didn't understand some of it. Haha. My instructor actually wrote "She will be watching you!" on the grade report. THAT GOT ME EXCITED! I ended up getting a B+. Which is pretty freakin sweet, especially at this school.

Anyway, here's the work from my final assignment from that class.

So basically, we had to plan an event. My event was based on the UK show Skins. I decided to do a US premiere party for the show. I drew out a picture of the event hall, but it looks like crap so I'm not uploading it.

The first image is the poster giveaway that you get at the event, along with a DVD (the second image) of the first episode. And the third and fourth images are of the invitation you get in the mail. So, it's just like a postcard with a front and back.

All the "comps" were presented like the DVD page looks. I actually did 5 versions of the poster and 5 versions of the invitation, each one based around a different character(s). I'm super proud of this project and how it came out. My instructor really like the poster. I LOVE the poster, I'm thinking about getting that printed to put up on my wall.

I guess that's it for now. BTW I got an A- in my Typography class. FLIPPIN SWEET.

I heard about Metro Station last year, when I found out that Miley Cyrus has a brother. Then I downloaded one of their songs from iTunes because it was the free download of the week. And I must say, they're the fucking shit. I just downloaded the rest of their album, and I'm really loving it.

I'd say buy it now before they get any more popular, because that's when prices go up! HA!
